CCCS was born out of necessity! From 1971 to 1989 our Director, Peter Davies was a field worker and manager in youth work and adult learning across a variety of Midlands and East Anglian authorities. Because of an increase in learner numbers at one location, computer technology was introduced to administer enrolments, register, contract and finance transactions.

This led to a secondment to the Education IT Business Unit of Cambridgeshire County Council to develop a full county specification for a Community Education management information system.  The secondment developed, one year later, into a substantive post as a Senior Consultant in Cambridgeshire Education IT. For 11 years Peter worked on a wide variety of community, careers, primary school and internal business unit system developments. He specified and designed systems, project managed development and implementation and assisted senior managers in their understanding of the change requirements.

In October 2000, with a change of direction in the LEA, Peter left to pursue a freelance career in the ACL and WBL sectors and has developed a large number of consultancy reports, ILR returns, SAR data, system and staff audits for LEA ACL managers from Northumberland in the north to Torbay in the South West.

In June 2003, with increasing confidence that clients found our of great value and with a growing client list, Peter, with wife June, formed the company CCCS (Sawtry) Ltd. to enable further development of the range of work we were able to offer.

The company now employs five staff and provides a wide range of services to the ACL, FE, WBL and Youth sectors of education.

We welcome colleagues working in LEAs contacting each other about the work which CCCS has undertaken for them. If you feel that we can assist you, please give us a call on 01487 830089.
