Following extensive
specification with a large number of voluntary groups (sponsored by
Connexions Cambridgeshire),
Aspire Business Solutions Ltd.
was commissioned to write the software to "make it happen".
VCSUnity
was born. A little about the system: 1. It is web based so users only need access to the internet 2. Data is securely stored and backed up on servers to the latest requirements of data protection legislation 3. Access is via secure logon and password to data specific to your own organisation
How data is stored Data about organisations can be held at two levels: an umbrella organisation (e.g. a council for voluntary youth service); a local organisation working on a specific project or with a particular client group. Organisation data includes reminders and storage facilities for all likely policies necessary within an organisation.
People information is stored to a high level of detail. The system enables the data to be built up as contact with individuals strengthens and trust with workers is built up. Where projects are ESF funded, all necessary data can be stored and reported upon. People engage in activities in an organisation during sessions. Sessions can be of one or more types. It is possible to simply record numbers attending, along with basic analysis data such as age bands, ethnicity, gender, etc. It is also possible within an individual such session, to record detailed contact with individuals including the length of contact, the purpose of the contact, the main discussion points, the issues which arose, possible outcomes, counselling options, etc. A Powerpoint demonstration of some of the major screens within the system can be downloaded here (0.5mb). Alternatively, ring 01487 830089 for detailed information and pricing of the system, to book a demonstration or book a seminar place where the system will be workshopped. CCCS is the sole agent for this system. |
